报告题目:Rational Engineering of Bioinspired Nanocomposites towards Adaptive Materials

报告内容:Materials with adaptive properties are widespread in living organisms and endow many species with traits that are essential for their survival. Prominent examples can be found in species of echinoderms (such as sea cucumbers) that share the ability to rapidly and reversibly alter the stiffness of their inner dermis when threatened. Mimicking such architectures and their capability to reconfigure the mechanical properties are inspiring the pursuit of adaptive materials needed for adaptive structural mechanical behavior, in damping applications, soft robotics, or for tissue growth purposes. One particular material class, which would benefit from encoding adaptivity concepts, is bioinspired high-performance nanocomposite materials that are inspired from biological load-bearing structures with excellent mechanical properties. In this presentation, combining molecular, polymer, colloid, and additively manufactured length scales, we will discuss the design of high adaptive bioinspired cellulose nanofibrils (CNF)/polymer nanocomposites. We will use wood-based renewable, biodegradable CNFs as reinforcements and water-soluble, low Tgcopolymer equipped with thermoreversible/thermocrosslinkable supramolecular motifs. A small amount of single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) was added into the CNF/polymer nanocomposites to impart a rapid and efficient photothermal effect to eventually modulate the mechanical properties under laser irradiation.

报告人简介:

郭家奇博士,洪堡学者,目前工作于德国弗莱堡大学施陶丁格高分子研究所。2012年,郭家奇于芬兰奥博学术大学获工学硕士学位,2017年,获得芬兰阿尔托大学工学博士学位,导师是著名的纤维素材料专家Orlando Rojas教授,同年,郭家奇博士以博士后身份加入德国弗莱堡大学Andreas Walther课题组。2018年郭家奇博士得到德国洪堡基金会资助(洪堡学者)。郭家奇博士已经在Advanced Materials, Advanced FunctionalMaterials,MaterialHorizons, Biomacromolecules等期刊发表学术论文19篇,(受邀)参加学术会议20余次,论文引用超过350次,H-index 10。2015年研究成果‘荧光纳米纸’荣获芬兰造纸学会年度最佳论文。2017年,郭家奇荣获国家优秀自费留学生称号。郭家奇博士的研究兴趣包括生物基复合材料的设计与构建,纳米纤维素的化学修饰,界面功能化和生物基结构染料。
